It is important to set realistic and time-sensitive goals in life because those goals we set for ourselves encourages us to shoot for the impossible. We work our hardest to achieve these goals, no matter what because even though there are times we feel like it is impossible to achieve our goals, we still beat our mentality to go beyond the set goal.
My goals for this year , is to improve my vocabulary knowledge, because I need to use different sophisticated words, instead of using basic words when there are a variety of ways to change the basic word. Also, I plan to keep up the good grades even though it isn't a problem for me, but still have to do all my work and its alright because I know that later on in the future it will all be worth it.
My one main goal at this moment is to be able to receive a scholarship to a four year university, and I need to push myself to achieve more at school right now, so that way I can be eligible. My career goal is to become a flight attendant, it would be a job I would love to have because it involves traveling to different places.

[KC]: We ALL have a story to tell.
I've been thinking a lot lately about the idea of storytelling. Perhaps it's because of the fact that we're reading Julius Caesar in class and William Shakespeare was indeed a storyteller, or perhaps it's because I have a few friends in my life right now who are in the most difficult fights of their stories. Regardless of the reason, I've come to the conclusion (one I think I've already known and believed in for some time now) that we all have a story to tell. Our lives are our story, and what we do with them matters.
One of my favorite YouTube channels is called Shots of Awe. Its link has been on the right side of our blog since the beginning. But recently, the speaker (Jason Silva) did a two-minute video on the idea of storytelling, discussing why it's an essential part of the human existence. Take a look at it below:
I think one of the reasons that I love this idea so much is that it emphasizes the idea of growth. Just as all stories have an arc, all of our lives have curves to them. We have peaks; we have pits. Some highs are higher than others and some lows are lower than we'd like them to be. But regardless of what we are experiencing at the moment, we can trust that we are growing as humans, that we are changing, being molded, being shaped, being bettered. We do not live linear lives. We twist, we turn, we take steps back, and we leap ahead blindly trusting that it will all work out. As humans, we are expected to experience things so that we can use those experiences to impact others.
When Shakespeare wrote the story of Julius Caesar, he knew that he was a vehicle to share a person's experiences. In fact, he considered this a lot while writing. This is why we get lines like Cassius saying:
"How many ages henceShall this our lofty scene be acted over
In states unborn and accents yet unknown!" (Act 3, Scene 1)
Shakespeare was hyper aware of the fact that, as humans, our experiences have the ability to be shared experiences. This means that we can connect with other people, empathize with them based on similar things that we've gone through. However, while this ability is there, it takes us being willing to share our story. It takes us being willing to make a connection with someone, with several people, maybe even with the whole world. Inevitably, when we make these connections, we are picking our storytellers. So, I ask you guys to consider your story. Firstly, remember that despite what you may have been told or what you may think, it is special because it is unique to you. And secondly, think about who you want to tell your story and how you want your story to impact other people. Essentially, the most powerful bits of our story will live on for "ages hence" through other people "in states unborn and accents yet unknown." So, how will you choose to pass along these powerful bits? Think about it.

How to Build a Skyscraper
People often ask me what do I see myself doing in five years. Then precedes to say "Well, I'm going to finish high school, move out of my guardian house to study at the college of my dream while studying for a career as a pediatrician." This is like hitting a fast forward button to reach my life long goal. However it's the goals that I set for myself to achieve from now abd for the next five years that helps me to tackle the huge life long goal. Setting timely mannered goals can benefit you in tackling your life long goal. People can't build a skyscraper just like you can't achieve your life long dreams in a day. However you build one floor a day and eventually you've reached the sky.
Goals that I've set for myself this years is to better myself better myself as a writer and a reader. I often find it hard for me to read because I can't seem to find a good book and often I get distracted.
Goals I have in the future is to finish high school, go to my top five colleges (UCLA, UCSD, UCSB, Stanbdford, and USC). In one of theses colleges is where I will pursue for a profession in the medical field.

GOOOOOOooooaaaals
When you think of a goal, you might think of a few things. As a toddler, we might dream to be something unrealistic, like a dragon, televesion character, or an inanimate object. Once we grow and mature we start to realize that our goals as a young kid change drastically. That dragon that we wanted to be might morph into a college we love and adore. Maturing into young adults plays a big part in what goals we set. That is why it is important to set goals that are dependent on time because you never know what could happen. There is always room for changing your goals and setting them to early might lead to some goals not being reached.
The goals that I want to reach my sophomore year are simple. My academic goal is to have the ability to write more fluently. When I read my stories they seem choppy and sometimes they are hard to read. As a writer I want to improve my vocabulary. I can do this my reading more advanced books and incorporating new words into my speech. This goal shouldn't be hard to accomplish because of my love for reading, especially if it's a reading of my choice. I also have some athletic goals that I want to achieve this year. In basketball I want to gain endurance because with the lack of players I'm going to need to stay on the floor. Another goal I have is to get to the third round again or maybe farther because last year we were two games away from winning CIF.
In the future I have goals as well. These are the goals that I hope to achieve but might change as I get older and as different things happen in my life. The first is to go to a four-year college. Hopefully, this college is the University of Southern California but I also like UC Berkeley, MIT, and other schools as well. My second goal is to major in Computer Science. This could change but I know for a fact that I want to work with computers and technology because it has always amazed and intrigued me. USC has been my number one college since forever because I know so many people in my life that have gone there that have become successful and established healthy connections with different people.

Goals
Goals
It's very important to set realistic goals for yourself because, say for some odd reason your main goal is be a "rock star". Then you realize that time has went by and you are now in your mid-thirties and suddenly you say to yourself "Oh man, this ain't gonna work", and you don't have another goal to fall back on. So it's very important to set as many realistic goals for yourself in case your first one doesn't work out you have many options to choose. Also it's a good idea to set yourself time-goals because it will prepare you for certain due dates in life. I'm pretty sure you want to make a good impression on not only your teachers but your future boss as well.
So far my school year is going well, I really enjoy all my classes especially my math class. Certain goals I've set for myself are to do well in all my classes, hopefully to pass with all A's, getting a good GPA, and making sure I don't stress my self on any classes. I plan on taking AP classes in the future and to prepare myself I went to Barnes N' Nobles to get AP Books and study them on my free time. For later on in life I plan on attending a four year university, and to take a double major in English and Psychology. The career I'm aiming for is to be a lawyer, and yes I could just apply to law school but I would want to major in something that would benefit my career. I decided on English because lawyers tend to do a lot of reading and critical thinking, and the reason I chose Psychology is because I find the subject pretty interesting and you know hopefully learn something about the human mind. Also say a few phrases that could trigger some weak spot in the plaintiffs mind and mess with them in court. :)
Goals First Title
Second Title
Life is short, so we should make the best of it. That means, basically, try to improve in certain areas where you think that you could do better so you can reach goals you have set. Of course, if you like something, trying to improve won't be an issue so just try to finish the things you start. For this year, I want to grow as a reader, and speak very fast in (like politicians never do). I want to get more familiar in reading non-fiction. When it comes to the future, I kind of get a headache because there are so many things that I want to do: pilot, voice actor, teacher, soccer player, musician etc. I've realized that over the years when people tell me "I don't know what I want to be" I have at least 3 things that come to my mind. The reason behind that is because I wanted to be a pilot growing up so, when you focus on one thing, the rest comes easily. I want to be a pilot, though.

Trill Goals
Goals Or Fails
I think its really important to set realistic and time sensitive goals in life because many people have extremely high expectations. Like some people think that they can wake up as a millionaire one day because the day before they made a video that went "viral", obviously this is not the case for most people. Why would you want to set yourself up for disappointment when that "dream" doesn't work out for you? So people should just stick to reachable goals, with some back up plans as well. My goals for this school year are to think more complex and do better in math. My career goal is to become an occupational therapist or an anesthesiologist, and on the weekends do makeup for bridal showers, parties etc. I plan on going to college, but something more along the lines of a Cal State because they seem more laid back. I also plan on taking cosmetology classes, more specifically makeup courses and get my certificate so I can work and build my own set of clients while going to school. I hope to study abroad in Greece for one semester because it seems like a really beautiful city and Rome's close by. I have these goals because I enjoy working with kids and helping them be more comfortable in their environment, and I also enjoy doing makeup so I'd see it more as something to look forward to, rather than a chore. Being an anesthesiologist interests me because you have to be precise and very diligent, but its kind of scary because you could accidentally over dose someone, while trying to save them. It's either hit or miss and I don't know if Id be able to live comfortably if I accidentally killed someone...
Goals In Life
Goals are important to set for ourselves because they're what motivate us to make something of ourselves. For example, going to college might be a goal everyone has, well, they strive all throughout high school to get into a college to get a career they'll enjoy. Without setting goals for ourselves, we have nothing to live for, what's the point of breathing and moving if we don't have something to work towards? A few goals for myself this year are to stop procrastinating on my schoolwork, though I say it every year, I'll strive even harder this year. Also, I hope to improve on my writing skills because I like to write a lot of different stories, and I really want to captivate the readers attention for them to continue reading. For the future, I hope to go to an art school to improve on my art skills and become either a graphic designer or imagineer at Disney Studios. Plan B would be going to my dream college, UCLA, and study to become an accounting major or business major like my aunt because I've always been good in my math skills and my dad always tells me to strive in that for it is my strong suit, so I want to put those skills in use for the future.
#GOALZZ
It is vitally important to set realistic and time-sensitive goals to improve and motivate you on what you want to do. Without goals, you have no sense of direction. Realistic goals are goals that you think can be achievable, but that does not mean you can stop there. Reach for the stars! Time-sensitive goals are essential to life. If you do not have time-sensitive goals then you do not have a push factor to help finish your objective.
One of my main goals for this year is to improve as a writer. I believe my writing is adequate but I would like my creative writing to succeed. Furthermore, my goal is to become a reader that can read between the lines and actually analyze what the author is trying to convey. My overall goals for this year outside of English class is to get exceptional grades, become a better musician, and be more involved with the school.
Ever since I was in the third grade I aimed to become a UCLA Bruin. I hope to study hard and eventually become successful with a job that I am passionate about. My main goal is to repay my parents for everything they sacrificed and to leave a lasting legacy.
Goals
Goals
Like most people I have goals that I want to achieve in my life. Some when I'm younger and others when I'm older. I think its important to set goals for yourself and strive for the things you want in life. It helps motivate you and makes you work harder to achieve them. I do think its important to set realistic time sensitive goals. Goals I have this year and hopefully don't forget about include passing all my classes this year with good grades and not giving up half way into the year. My goals for the future is getting excepted into the university of my choice and being genuinely passionate about the career I'm studying which by the way is psychology. Education aside I really just want to look back and know that I gave it my all.
Goal
Goals, this word used very often about what someone wants or plans to have. Most times those goals aren't achieved or haven't even been really set after. Goals isn't necessarily something you aspire to achieve in my view a goal is something you will achieve in the future. The importance of time-sensitive goals has about the same amount of importance as anything in life. Not setting time-sensitive goals is like not tying your shoes you will keep walking and saying you're going to tie them but it doesn't always happen. Eventually, you trip over your shoelaces and scrape your knee, wishing you had tied them.
The goals I set for myself sometimes aren't always achieved but I have a good feeling about my new goals I have set. For example, this year I want to be able to understand text and other literature much more quickly and
