2nd Quarter SSR

The character I chose for my SSR reflection was Katniss from The Hunger Games. I chose this character because the book gives her the most spotlight which highlights her key traits in context. Katniss is a very brave young girl that loves her family very much and she will do anything to protect them. I would sat that Katniss is a static character through out the books. But her love for her family plays a role in the books as Katniss volunteers for the Hunger games since her sister was selected. This act shows bravery and courage in her which was a reason why she is my favorite character in the series. Katniss does not really change through out the books but she never looses her courage and bravery.
No matter what gets in Kaniss's way, she has the courage to overcome all the challenges and obstacles. Katniss does not do these challenges for her own sake but for her families sake and condition. She hunts and trades in the market to keep her family alive due to the death of her father. She puts herself in a situation in where she has a greater chance of being selected into the Hunger games in return for food for her family.
